Windows 8.1 will get an OTA update packed with several UX goodies. Today Microsoft made some changes to Windows 8.1 at Build, its annual developer conference, most of them minor user experience modifications aimed at responding to user feedback and bringing touch and mouse experiences into greater harmony.
Battlefield Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will all be getting Mantle support.  AMD is announcing, together with EA, that there are three new games coming up that will have support for the Mantle API. The three games in question are Battlefield Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

    Microsoft stopped supporting Windows XP in April, but a simple registry hack lets users continue to get security updates.

    The hack, as reported by ZDNet, fools Microsoft into thinking the system is running Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, a variant of XP that's used by ATMs and cash registers. Those systems will keep getting security updates until 2019.

    Microsoft is saying again that it's no longer patching Windows XP.

    Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc posted a notice on the Windows Experience Blog reporting that Windows XP customers will no longer receive security or non-security updates through Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    Microsoft's Windows XP has slipped under the 50% share mark for the first time since Web measurement company Net Applications began tracking operating system usage.

    The old XP closed on July with 49.8%, it’s 1.3-percentage point drop from June, Net Applications report us. Although XP still powers the most of Windows computers, although July's percentage means it has lost its majority status among all operating systems OS.

    What is the Windows XP Administrator Password

    Windows XP, is the most popular version of Windows worldwide, where ever installed by PC users widely.

    Do you remember the first time after installing your copy of Windows XP, How long did it took to realize that you don't know the administrator password?

    I hardly remembered that it was about a week before I needed to make some changes in the file system.
